On March 18, UMSL History graduate students, Leah Huesing, Andrew Herkenhoff, and Janelle Brimer, presented their papers on “Preserving Ethnic Identity: The St. Louis Greek Oral History Project” during the 56th Annual Missouri Conference in Jefferson City, Missouri.  Their presentations, based on the original research they conducted in Dr. Nikos Poulopoulos’ seminar on the Greek-American Experience, explored the division within the Greek Orthodox Churches in St. Louis, the female role in the cultivation of Greek Heritage in the 21st Century, and the movement towards Pan-Orthodoxy in the St. Louis Greek Parishes.  Dr. Peter Acsay was acting chair and commentator for their panel.
